Matt has worked in the MSU athletic communications office since 1998, serving as associate sports information director since 2005. His main responsibility is handling all media relations for the nationally prominent men'
s basketball program. Matt graduated with honors from Duke University in 1998 and immediately came to MSU as an intern. After one year, he was promoted to assistant sports information director in 1999, working with the men'
s basketball team during the 1999–2000 NCAA Championship season.
